WEEK 1
Smart Target:
I wish to increase my breath control. I will do this by using a breathing exercise where I breathe in for 4 seconds, hold my breath for 4 seconds then breath out. Currently, I can only breathe out for 7 seconds, by the end of the week I would like to be able to do it for 15 seconds. I need to increase my breath control because I am playing Peter Pan in the collages upcoming pantomime. I am anticipating some moderately long speeches/ sections of dialogue and I do not want to be out of breath. I would also like to practice my articulation as I find my self occasionally stumbling over my words. 

Practice 1 - Monday 10am
I practiced for 15 minutes doing this breathing exercise and for 5 minutes doing various different tongue twisters. This is how long I planned to practice for because it fits in around my Monday morning routine and means I am still able to complete other activities while still getting into college on time.
Smart goals:
To be able to breath out for 12 seconds by the end of the 15 minutes of practicing.

without stumbling over the words. I want to be able to say it fluently by the end of the week. 
The practice went fairly well. 
Overview:
I practiced for 20 minutes overall and I found that by the end of the breathing exercise I can now exhale for 12 seconds meaning that I have somewhat improved my breath capacity. However, I did feel my lungs strain as I was reaching the 12-second point so I believe more practice is much needed. Moreover, with the tongue twister I practiced saying it multiple times for 5 minutes I found by the end of it that if I say it slowly I can go through it without falling over the words. 
Reflection: 
I think that I reached my smart goals, but I think in order for me to reach my SMART targets for the week I need to practice for a longer duration of time, and even potentially set my self some more stretching goals. For the breathing exercise, I think that my goal was achieved. I believe that my target for the rest of the week, which is breathing out for a duration of 15 seconds, is very realistic if I keep practicing in the same way for 15 minutes every so often. However, I also found that although my goal was met and I could breath out for 12 seconds I still felt out of breath at the end. With my articulation, by the end of the practice I felt that I was articulating well but with the tongue twister, I was still going fairly slowly. I need to improve this because when it comes to my performance in Peter Pan I am anticipating some fast-paced scenes in which the audience still need to be able to understand what I am saying. 

Practice 2 - Wednesday 4pm
I practiced the breathing exercise for 20 minutes and the articulation exercise for 10 minutes. This was because I believe that on Monday I did not spend enough time on them so I wanted to extend the time scale of the practice to see if it made a difference and helped me improve. 
Smart goals: 
To be able the exhale for 15 seconds after breathing in for 4 and holding it for 4. |Also I want to speed up my pace of the tongue twister, while still making sure that I am articulating clearly. 
Overview: 
I practiced for 30 minutes overall and I think that this practice was fairly successful as I can now exhale for 15 seconds, which is one of my SMART targets achieved. I can no also say the tongue twister slightly faster without messing it up or making any mistakes. For me, this is the kind of progress I want to see my self-making as I want to be clear, concise and not be getting out of breath on stage during the pantomime. 
Reflection: 
I think that I have done well in my practice as I have reached my smart goals and one of my SMART targets for the week, which was to be able to exhale for 15 counts during the breathing exercise. However, I also think that even though I achieved my goal I need to keep consistently practicing the breathing exercise due to the fact of I still feel slightly out of breath by the end of it. When it comes to my articulation, I think that I have improved because I can say the tongue twister faster without making mistakes. But, it is not as fast as I would like to be able to do it so I must constantly practice making sure I am progressing in the right way. 

Practice 3 - Friday 3pm
I practiced both exercises today for 20 minutes each as I think they both deserve the same amount of time to work on as they are both at similar stages of development now.
Smart goals: 
To be able to exhale for 15 seconds without feeling as out of breath as I usually do. This is because I do not want to be on the stage of the pantomime and then be out of breath and spluttering after an important speech or monologue. I also want to be able to articulate my self properly so that everyone who is watching the performance can hear what I am saying clearly. 
Overview: 
I practiced for 40 minutes today on my breath control and articulation. I can now say my tongue twister slightly faster and it is all correct. I do not make any mistakes which means that I have completed both of my SMART targets for the week. For the breathing exercise, I can now consistently exhale for 15 seconds form my diaphragm without getting as out of breath as I used to. 
Reflection:
I have now completed both of my SMART targets for the week. Over my different days and lengths of practices I have now determined what is a sensible time range to practice within (from 30 minutes to 40 minutes), this is because I see the most effective change when I spend a long time on the exercises. Furthermore, I no longer become as out of breath as I used to, I still need to practice however because I think that there is still room to be able to increase my breath capacity. With my articulation, I reached my target that I set my self but once more I shall continue practicing, due to the fact that I need to make sure I am constantly clearly spoken.

WEEK 2:

SMART Target:
I wish to continue working on my breath capacity throughout this week. This is because I still feel I could improve it, as I still find my self-feeling slightly breathless at the end of the exercise. To do this I will continue doing the exercise from last week but instead of inhaling and holding my breath for 4 seconds I will inhale and hold my breath for 5 seconds in efforts to try and increase my breath capacity. Furthermore, I want to try and improve my projection so in each practice I will read a different political speech while envisioning my word hitting the opposite wall in my room. I will do it multiple time each time putting more emphasis getting louder but speaking from my stomach, not my throat.

Practice 4- Monday 10am
I practice both exercises today the breathing one for 20 minutes and the speech reading one for 25 minutes. I dedicated more time to my projection exercise as it took longer to read through and rehearse than the outer exercise.
Smart goals:
To be able to exhale for 15 seconds without feeling breathless or the need to breathe in at any point during holding my breath for the 5 second period, This is because of the upcoming pantomime. I want to be able to perform at full energy without becoming breathless. I also want to be able to read the first part of Martin Luther King I Have A Dream speech clearly while projecting and articulating my words.
I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Overview:
I practiced for 45 minutes in total today. I spent 25 minutes on the speech and 20 minutes on the breathing exercise. This is because at the point I am currently at I think that I need more work on my projection rather than my breathing capacity as I am happy with my breathing capacity at the moment. 
Reflection: 
I think for the breathing exercise I believe that I reached my smart goal this is because I can now exhale for 15 seconds without feeling breathless. I did not feel the need to take any extra breaths nor did I feel breathless at the end of the practice. I think that this is because I decided to try breathing in and holding my breath for five seconds instead of four seconds. I believe I have managed to increase my breath capacity to a much better standard, then when I started. When I practiced the speech, I read through it for 25 minutes. Each time, I stood at the end of my living room and read out the speech envisioning the words coming out of my mouth and them hitting onto the wall on the other side of the room. I made sure I was enunciating, projecting while speaking clearly and slowly. Because of this, I think that I have reached my smart targets for my 1st practice of the week.

Practice 5- Wednesday 4pm 
Once again I practiced both the exercises for 35 minutes in total. I decided this because I want to see if it appropriate amount of time to make a good amount of progress in. 10 minutes on the breathing and 25 minutes on practicing projection using the speeches. 
Smart goals:
I wish to deliver the speech of Barack Obama's victory of the 2008 election speech. I must work on being louder without shouting, I must speak from my diaphragm and not from my throat. For my breathing exercise, I need to continue doing the same thing as in my previous practice (which was to breath in and hold my breath for 5 seconds instead of 4) so that I can maintain the standard that I am currently at.
"Hello, Chicago."If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer."It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen, by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different, that their voices could be that difference.
Overview:
I practiced for 35 minutes all together today. Once again I spent 25 minutes on practicing Obama's speech and 10 minutes on the breathing exercise. I spent less time on my breathing exercise today as I believe that my breath capacity is at a standard I am happy with for now. 
Reflection:
I believe that I delivered the speech with enthusiasm and conviction. I stood with my feet shoulder width apart, projecting my voice, doing the same thing as before which was envisioning my words leaving my mouth and hitting the wall on the other side of the room. I spoke from my diaphragm not from my throat. This is because I am playing Peter Pan in the pantomime at Christmas and I do not want to strain or damage my voice before the performance and by speaking from the diaphragm, not the throat I will have less chance of damaging my voice. It will also help prevent it. With the breathing exercise, I have become consistent with being able to exhale for 15 seconds and I am becoming less breathless every time. Moreover, when I do the speech I can now do it without becoming breathless and I think it is due to the continual practice of this exercise. I believe I have reached both of my smart goal for this week. 
Practice 6 - Friday 3pm
I am going to practice for 45 minutes again today as I have determined this is the appropriate length of time to practice and get an effective amount of vocal development done.
Smart goals:
My aim for this practice is to be able to project my voice while enunciating every word, I need to be loud, clear and concise. The speech that I will be using to practice today will be JFK we will go to the moon. I also want to practice my breath capacity exercise to make sure that I am staying consistent and can still exhale out for 15 seconds without becoming out of breath.

Overview:
In total, I practiced the, we will go to the moon speech for 25 minutes and the breathing exercise for 20 minutes. I decided to go back up to 45 minutes as I determined that 35 minutes is not enough time to do a fully effective practice.
Reflection:
 For the speech, I did the same process as before (feet shoulder width apart and envisioning my words coming out my mouth and hitting the wall on the other side of the room) but this time I opened my mouth very wide while speaking to help with my enunciation. This also helped warm up my face so it was not as stiff as it usually is. I found something that helped me speak from my diaphragm, and that was standing up straight with my shoulders back and my hand on my stomach. When it comes to the practice of the breathing exercise I did the same thing as usual but instead, when I breathed out I made a hissing sound instead. I can not hiss for as long as I can just exhale on its own but I am not as breathless as when I first started. I was clear and concise with my speech and can continue to exhale normally for 15 seconds so I have reached my smart goals for the practice. I also think that I have reached both my SMART targets for the week as I am not as breathless and can project my voice much better now.

WEEK 3
SMART target: 
For this week I want to develop my intonation, I want to be able to reach a high note without my voice cracking, I will do this by using a vocal warm-up where I sing:

and then the same again but starting from 8 and going backward. I need to do this due to the parts in the play Peter Pan where I may have to sing or change the pitch of my voice.

Practice 7 - Monday 10am
I practiced this exercise for 20 minutes today, I sang it at least 5 times in this practice.
Smart goals:
I want to be able to sing the whole thing through without any mistakes. I want to be able to of learned the whole thing off by heart. I also want to start working on singing the higher notes such as up to the 6th verse without cracking or breaking my voice. I want to be able to hold the note.
Overview:
I practiced the intonation exercise for 20 minutes as it took me 5 minutes to learn the whole song off by heart and I spent 15 minutes on trying to sing up to the 6th verse.
Reflection:
I have completed my smart goal for this rehearsal, this means that I can now sing up to the sixth verse without my voice breaking, I can also sing it all off by heart without stumbling over my words. To improve next time I am going to sing it for longer (holding the notes) and I will spend more time on it, perhaps 25-30 minutes. I practiced for 20 minutes, I progressed going up the scale slowly, practicing and making my way up to the 6th verse making sure that my voice does not break or crack. I am glad that I have managed to do this as it will be crucial for my role of Peter Pan in the pantomime. 

Practice 8 - Wednesday 4pm
I practiced the singing exercise to help my intonation for 15 minutes today this is because I felt that as I do not need to learn it so the extra 5 minutes of practice was unnecessary. 
Smart goals: 
I want to be able to sing up to the 7th verse today. I want to make sure that I can still hold the 6th note without my voice breaking but I want to push my self and see if I can hold the 7th note on the scale without breaking or cracking my voice. It is important I do this as I do not want to damage my voice for the pantomime but I still would like to develop my singing range. 
Overview: 
I practiced for 15 minutes and I managed to reach the 7th verse in the song, it was not as difficult as I had imagined and I believe that bye the next time I practice on Friday I should be able to go up to the 8th verse and then backward. 
Reflection:
I know that I have reached my SMART goal for this intonation exercise. This is because I can still hold the 6th verse note without my voice cracking and I can now also reach the 7th verse easily. However, it still strains my voice slightly, but I think this is an issue that can easily be dissolved with more practice and different vocal exercises. Once more in this practice, I progressed slowly through the verses, going up the scale, making sure I could hold each note confidently without my voice breaking or cracking. For the next time, I practice I am going to see if I can sing louder while still holding the correct note. 

Practice 9 - Friday 3.30pm

Once more I practiced for 15 minutes, I did this because that is the same amount of time I practiced for last time and I think I made an effective amount progress.
Smart goals:
I want to be able to sing up to the 8th verse and do the rest of the song backward. I want to essentially be able to sing the whole song without my voice cracking or breaking. 

Overview:
I practiced for 15 minutes and I reached the 8th verse, however, I struggled when trying to do the reverse version, I did eventually succeed and finish the practice successfully. 
Reflection:
In this practice, I believe that I have met both my SMART goal for this practice as well as the SMART target for the whole week. This means that I can now sing the whole song including doing it backward without my voice breaking or cracking. In the process of trying to do this, I did stumble slightly when trying to do it backward as well, I was messing up the numbers and singing them in the wrong order. But, I did manage to rectify my mistakes very quickly by just going over the song until I learned the reverse version fluently. Not only do I think this week of practice has helped me improve my intonation but I think it also helped me improve my focus. Improving my focus I think is important because during my performance there are going to have to be children everywhere they will be noisy so I must be able to stay focussed and not let them distract me. 

WEEK 4

SMART target:
For this week I wish to go back to working on my articulation, to do this I am going to learn a tongue twister off by heart. Every time I practice I want to speed up how fast I say the tongue twister, but I want to make sure I am not making any mistakes or falling over my words. It is important I work on my articulation because in the pantomime my voice must be clear and concise so the audience can hear and understand me. The tongue twisters I will be using to practice is: 
Roberta ran rings around the Roman ruins.
Clean clams crammed in clean cans.
Stupid superstition!
Practice 10 - Monday 10am 
Today I practiced the tongue twisters for 10 minutes repeating each one for at least 5 times, learning each one off by heart and saying them without stumbling over my words and or making any mistakes throughout the tongue twister.
Smart goals: 
For this practice, I want to learn each one of the tongue twisters off by heart and be able to say each of them without messing it up. I am also going to time myself and how long it takes me to read each one of tongue twisters so than on the other days that I practice I can time my self again to be able to compare my self and how much I have sped up.
Overview:
I practiced for 10 minutes and I learned each of the tongue twisters of by heart, I also managed to time how long each one took me to read out.
Reflection:
I believe that I have completed my smart goals for today's practice, this is because I learned each of the tongue twisters completely and I can say them at a fairly good speed without creating any mistakes or stumbling over my words. I also timed my self on how long it took me to say each one:

For my next practice, I will hopefully be able to speed up how fast I say the tongue twisters. I believe that my articulation is very important to improve on as I need people to be able to understand what I am saying throughout the whole of the pantomime and that is not only down to projection but articulation as well. 
Practice 11 - Wednesday 4pm
In this practice, once again I practiced for 10 minutes. I repeated the three different tongue twisters at least five times each speeding up how fast I said each tongue twister. If I made a mistake I would pause, slow down and restart saying it.
Smart goals:
For this practice session, I want to be able to speed up how fast I say the three tongue twisters while not making any mistakes or running my words together. Each tongue twister should be clear and concise, I want them to be able to be audible (so at a good volume as well as being able to be understood), and I want each word to be enunciated correctly. It is important for me to reach these goals as in the Pantomime I must be audible and understandable to the audience. 
Overview:
I practiced for 10 minutes, as I said before,  and I managed to complete my smart targets for today's practice session. This means I sped up how fast I said them and each one was clear and understandable. 
Reflection:
In today's practice, I went through three different tongue twisters. To make sure that I am articulating and enunciating each of my words when I said each one I opened my mouth very wide while saying each tongue twister to ensure that each of my words is understandable. Moreover, when trying to speed up how fast I say each one if I made a mistake I would slow down how fast I was saying it then correct my self and start trying to speed it up again gradually. Once more I timed my self on how long it took me to say each tongue twister so I can record my progress.

The timings show that I have been able to speed up the rate that I can say the tongue twisters. This means that I have met one of my smart targets for this practice. I also think that I have met the other which is to make sure I am not running my words together and to fully enunciate my words. I know I have done this as all my words were clear and easy to understand. 

Practice 12 - Friday 3.30pm
For my final practice of this week, I practiced for 10 minutes again. I have determined that 10 minutes is a suitable amount of time to practice tongue twisters this is because I know I can not only speed up the pace of the tongue twisters but make sure they are clear and easily audible. 
Smart goals:
For my final practice, I want to make sure that I have completed all my smart goals for the whole week. This means that I need to speed up how fast I can say each tongue twister as well as making sure that I am clear when I speak so that everyone can understand what I am saying. 
Overview:
I practiced for 10 minutes, during this time I have managed to meet my smart goals for the week. When I practiced I made sure to learn from the other times I practiced so I knew what would help me make the most progress in this short amount of time. 
Reflection:
In today's practice, I spent roughly 3 and a half minutes on each tongue twister. I went over it multiple times making sure I was opening my mouth wide so that I was enunciating. Moreover, I took the technique from week 2 to make sure that I am projecting my voice at the same time. I also made sure that I was never running my words together. This is because when I rehearse for Peterpan one comment I got was that I needed to stop running my lines together. So, therefore, I tried to work on that this week. I timed my self once again on how long each tongue twister took me to say, the results are:

The timing shows that from the beginning of the week I have been able to speed up how fast I say each tongue twister. This means that the tongue twister exercise has worked and that I have been able to meet my smart goal for the week. Finally, I think that I have definitely improved my enunciation as I am very clear and concise in the way that I deliver the tongue twisters.  

WEEK 5
SMART target:
For this week I want to develop my tone. The tone is very important as it will help you command the stage as well as to communicate your confidence and authority. This is something I need to do as in the pantomime I will need to be able to engage the audience with not just my body language and the way I move but with my voice. I will do this by reading a poem. I will start low, and then go high with my voice, then go low again. By adding more vocal range helps me to be more engaging and interesting to listen to. The poem I am going to use is:
I come with no wrapping or pretty pink bows. 
I am who I am, from my head to my toes. 
I tend to get loud when speaking my mind. 
Even a little crazy some of the time

Practice 13 - Monday 11.30am
For this session, I practiced for 30 minutes. This is because I wanted to learn the poem at the beginning of the week so that I can do the exercise effectively without stumbling over my words or forgetting what I am going to say next.
Smart goals:
My smart goals for this practice is to learn the poem off by heart, I also want to be able to read through the poem in the different tones while I am still projecting my voice and using all of the techniques I have been practicing previously. 
Overview:
In this practice, I managed to learn the whole of the poem off by heart as well as go through the poem multiple different times using different tones. I also made sure to utilize the projection techniques I learned in week 2. 
Reflection:
During this practice, I believe that I have reached my smart goals. This is because I learned the whole of the poem as well as reading through it in different tones. I used three different types of tone I started off with a low pitch voice, then went to my normal toned voice and then finally went up to a rather high pitch voice. I also tried using a monotone voice to read the poem followed by a very excited tone of voice to try and convey different ways of how the poem could be portrayed. To make sure I was projecting my voice (so I could reach my smart goal) I stood shoulder width apart and envisioned all the words of the poem going across the room and hitting the wall on the other side of the room. By the time I reached the end of my practice, I was not making mistakes or stumbling over my words.

Practice 14 - Wednesday 5pm
In this practice, I practiced for 25 minutes. This is because on Monday I allowed my self an extra 5 minutes in order to be able to learn the poem. I tried a few different techniques in this session in order to expand my vocal tone.
Smart goals:
For today's smart goal, I want to be able to say the poem using not only different pitches but bye using different emotions so I am never using a monotone voice. It is important not to use a monotone voice in the Pantomime as I need to be able to engage children and I can not do that if my voice is boring.
Overview:
I practiced for 25 minutes and I went through the poem multiple times using different tones of voice. I tried to develop my tone by channeling different emotions, such as, happy. sad, excitement and anger. I also continued using the projection techniques from week 2. 
Reflection:
I know that I have reached my smart goals for this practice session, this is because I went through the poem at first using a high then low and then regular pitch as I did before but then I went on to using different emotions to change the way I delivered the poem. I started off by trying to use an angry tone of voice, I raised the volume and almost shouted the words, I also screwed up my face to add an expression. This is because the tone of voice is not the only thing that helps display emotion. To make the tone of voice sound more authentic I thought of a time in my life when I was angry and tried to channel that. I did this process for three more emotions they were happy, sad and excitement. I also made sure that I was continuing my projection exercise while trying to enunciate each word. 

Practice 15 - Friday 5pm
Once again I practiced for 25 this is because I determined that on Wednesday that it was an appropriate amount of time to get an effective amount of work done and or progress made. I used pitch and emotion again, to help improve my tone.
Smart goals:
For today's practice session I want to be able to deliver the poem using various tones of voice that would be able to entertain and engage a theatre full of children. This is because in the pantomime the audience will mainly be children.
Overview:
I practiced for 25 minutes again as I determined that this was an appropriate amount of time to make a good amount of progress in. I once more practiced different pitches first then I explored other emotions that would help me display various tones of voice that I will be able to use during the pantomime.
Reflection:
In this practice I have reached my smart goal for the singular practice and then I believe that I have reached my smart target for the whole week. This is because I have definitely developed my tone. I know that I have done this because now when I deliver the poem I can hear myself being far more emotive and interesting. I also know I have completed my smart goal for this practice as I believe my voice would definitely be engaging to children. Throughout this week process, I have also been working on incorporating the other exercises into my practices, for example, I have constantly been projecting my voice as well as making sure I am enunciating. To ensure I am enunciating I open my mouth very widely as I speak and for projection, I stand shoulder width apart envisioning my voice leaving my mouth and hitting the wall on the other side of the room. 


WEEK 6
SMART  target:
For this week I want to gain control of my voice and breathing. To do this I am going to stand with my shoulders relaxed and my face pointing forward. Then I place one of my hands on my stomach and then I will breathe in so my stomach expands. While I exhale, I make static "Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha." noises. With every "Ha," I push in my stomach to force the sound out of you.

Practice 16- Monday 1pm-
In today's practice, I went over the activity for 15 minutes. I stood facing the other wall across from me in my room in order to help my focus. I predicted that 15 minutes would be enough time in order to make a good amount of progress. 
Smart goals:
My goals for today is to be able to gain more control of my voice, this is because I want to be able to say my lines in the pantomime with conviction and an engaging tone. I also want to be able to do the exercise without straining my voice or becoming any sort of type of breathless. 
Overview:
I was correct in thinking that 15 minuets were long enough to make a decent amount of progress in. I stood with my shoulders relaxed and my face pointing forward looking at the wall on the oposite side of my bedroom when I made the ha sound I envisioned the words coming out my mouth and hitting the other side of the room.
Reflection:
I stood with my feet shoulder width apart, my head held up high and my back completely straight (it is important to have good posture whenever you do a vocal warm-up or exercise). I then started going through the breath control exercise, I kept my hand on my stomach the whole time. I think that I have achieved my smart goals for today's practice. This is because I was not breathless at the end of the exercise and also I do believe I have gained some more control of my voice. I think this because as I had been doing the exercise for more time I could feel the "ha" sound coming out and sounding louder and more powerful. I think that this could also be a good projection exercise as I found my self getting louder as the exercise went on.

Practice 17- Wednesday 4.30pm
In today's practices session once more I did the exercise for 15 minutes again. This is because in the last practice I determined 15 minutes was an appropriate amount of time to make good progress in.
Smart goals:
For today's practice, my goals are to be able to gain more control of my voice, the way I am going to measure this is before and after  the exercise, I will read a famous speech and see if I get out of breath or breathless after reading it out loud once I have done the practice.
Overview:
I stood again with my feet shoulder width apart, head pointing towards the wall on the opposite side of my room and my hands relaxed by my sides. I again practiced for 15 minutes as I know I can make good progress within.
Reflection:
Today I believe that my practice went very well this is because, before the vocal exercises I read out a famous speech, I had to take a lot of pauses and felt slightly breathless at the end of it. However, after I had done the vocal exercise I re-read the same speech. I felt that when I was reading it, it came across as far more powerful and seemed a lot more in control. Moreover, I did not feel out of breath like I did the first time when I read the speech. In order to improve for next time, I am going to use a longer speech and practice for 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes to see if it makes any difference to the type of progress I make. I think I met my smart goals as I feel I did gain more control of my breath. 

Practice 18- Friday 5.00pm
In today's practice, I did the vocal exercise for 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes because I wanted to see if that extra five minutes is effective for me to be able to make more positive progress.
Smart goals:
My goal for today is to be able to read a more complex speech with full control of my voice after I have done the exercise. I also do not want to feel breathless at all or feel like I have to pause for an extended amount of time in order to catch my breath.
Overview: 
I practiced for 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes today. Personally, I feel that it did not help me improve in any way I think if I had practiced for 15 minutes I would have made the exact same amount of progress as I did in 20 minutes.
Reflection:
I think that today's and this whole weeks practice sessions have been extremely successful. This is because, after today's vocal exercise I could go through a more complex and longer speech with power and conviction while not getting out of breath, this means that I have met my smart goal for today. Over the whole week, I think that I have met my SMART targets, this is because I know that I have gained much more control over my voice, I can speake far more powerfully and can change my tone particually easily now as well. 

WEEK 7
SMART target: 
My smart target for this week is to improve my timing for my solo in one of the songs in the pantomime "its going down" from descendants 2. I need to do this because after my solo it cues the next part of the dance routine and the next verse in the song, this means that if I am out of time so will the rest of the song. I do not want my solo to be the reason the rest of the song is incorrect. The way I am going to work on this is by sining the song over and over again until I know the timings and counts inside and out.
Practice 17 - Monday 10am
In todays practice I sang the song four times, once with the backing with the lyrics and three times with just the audio of the song. It took me about 15 minuets to sing the song that many times and I feel this is a good amount of time to make positive progress in.
Smart goals:
My smart goals for todays practice session is to learn the counts in the song for when I come in and then I also want to be able to sing the song with only the audio not the vocals as this is how it will be performed in the pantomime. 
Overview:
I found out that 15 minuets is an appropriate amount of time to work on this activity. This is because if I do it for any longer I start to loose my focus and I do not feel like I make much progress after this point. 
Reflection:
I believe that this practice session went very well. I stood up straight with my feet shoulder width apart, my head up pointing forward and had good posture. To begin with I did a quick lip trill exercise in order to warm up my voice before starting singing. This is because I do not want to damage my voice or strain it when I start singing. I started of by listening to the song so I could get a good ideas of the counts. I then proceeded to sing it once with the vocals in the background and then three times without the vocals. I think I have achieved my smart goal for this session this is because I have improved my timing however it is still not perfect so I will have to continue on practicing through out the rest of the week to be perfect for the show.

Practice 18 - Wednesday 6.30pm
In todays practice (practically the same as what I did on Monday) I sang the song four times, all with out the audio in the back I did it with just the tune of the song. It took me about 15 minuets to sing the song that many times and I feel this is a good amount of time to make positive progress in.
Smart goals:
My smart goals for todays practice session is to be able to sing the whole song with perfect timing. I also want to improve my projection when singing because I need to be louder in order for the people at the back of the theatre to be able to here me. 
Overview:
I practiced for 15 minuets again, this is enough time for me to sing the song at leat three times if not four. This is more than enough time for me to develop my projection and develop my timings for my solo. 
Reflection:
I think that this practice session went very well. Once again I stood up straight, with my feet shoulder width apart, head facing forward and good posture. This time as I was singing I envisioned the words coming out of mouth and hitting the wall on the opposite side of my room, I did this to help me with my projection. I believe that I have reached both my smart goals for todays session this is because I have improved my projection by singing from my diaphragm and not my throat. Furthermore, my timing is much better. To improve for next time I need to bring in my techniques from voice control because my voice when singing can sound a little bit shaky. 

Practice 19 - Friday 4.00pm
In today practice I rehearsed for 20 minuets. This is because I started off with 5 miuets of breath control exercises before going into the 15 minuets of singing the song three times. I hope that the extra time added in for breathy control will help me from my voice sounding shaky. 
Smart goals:
My goals for today is to be able to sing the song "its going down" with perfect timing and with out my voice becoming shaky or out of breath. 
Overview:
For todays practice I did it for 20 minuets, this was the perfect amount of time for doing my breath control exercise as well as being able to run through the song three times all with out the vocals in the background of the song.  
Reflection:
Today I started of my practice with a breath control exercise I stood with good posture and my feet shoulder width apart. After this I proceeded to sing the song three times. In todays practice I think that I have reached both my smart goals for the session and my SMART targets for the whole week. This is because I now have more control over my voice, this means that I no longer sound shaky when I sing. I now also believe that I have the timing perfect for my solo in the song.
